How do you open the countryman rear hatch?
« on: December 30, 2011, 09:11:36 AM »

I click the button on the key and hear the hatch unlock. There is no handle to grab to open the hatch and it does not unlock far enough for me to get a finger under the lip by the bumper. I can push on the rear spoiler but that feels too flimsy to last long performing this function.

How are other people handling this?

Thanks

It's the center of the GIANT MINI WINGS.  It pivots on a horizontal axis.

Thank you. Dealer dropped the loaner off and I did not think to ask.

I also have a boot question. With the engine running on a 2012 Hardtop MC I can't release the boot even while  pressing the alll door lock switch on the center toggle. I have to turn off the engine and eject the key to press the boot unlock. Is this a design flaw or am I the flawed one?
