I keep getting told I need more seat time and carting is a way to get some. This sounds like good fun. What sort of carts are they? (i.e. gas/electric/shifter) Can I use my own helmet?

They are electric carts. You can bring your own helmet or they have some there that you can use too...Hope to see you there.

I will have to miss tomorrow's racing.

Hope has to work so I have to take care of Alexandra... of course I could strap Alexandra to me in the go-kart but with George always looking for an opportunity to hit me with his go-kart I think I better not.

Good luck and have fun everyone.

Just bring the nanny along to watch Alexandra while you race.  She can have her look the other way when I hit you.  tongue3

Some great racing in August! Derrick, George & I mixed it up pretty good and although Lex squeezed through (literally) Jim took a 4th by a mere 2/10's under Tom. But more importantly all the action occured under the watchful eye of Alexandra who took the lead as #1 spectator.

I love this.
Way to go Derrick...But you need a handicap.
Otherwise you will always win...

Lets say 1 second. You know like the US school system.

That track really beat me up... my arms were sore.

Mucho thanks to Lisa for giving me some aspirin.  Thanks to Lisa and Amy for looking after Alexandra.

Although, I didn't fare all too well in the times...

I did take the checkered flag during the first race.  The last couple of laps were great, we were all bunched up ... George took out Jim, Larry passed Derrick and I passed Larry.  I just added to my racing credits.... I passed Derrick, Larry, George, and Jim and took the checkered flag all in one race.  How many of you can say that?

Sometimes...it's the little things that matter the most.   laughing7

Well, for the record.  I didn't take out Jim. Someone else in the pack spun him around and left him facing the wrong way.  I just finished him off with a head-on collision.

I was also very sore afterward. Maybe the new track configuration did it.

You guys all got in a few licks this time.

That was the most jostling I can remember in a while.. I don't head the wrong way very often..  Still fun and I'm a little  P.O.'d about the K1 guy who took it into his own hands to cut my power in the first race.  I think that was the root of the problem since everyone piled up behind and into me at that point..Next time will be better!
